The Omaha, NE Branch adopted a family through the Salvation Army’s Christmas program in 2017.  The family they adopted had eight children between the ages of 4 months-17 years old, who were originally from Sudan.  The branch donated gifts and money for food supplies so the family was able to have Christmas dinner.

Jysicca Perez, a processor in the Omaha Branch says, “Not only were we able to help a local family provide Christmas to their family, but I feel like it helped our office come together as a family, as well.  After shopping for the family, we spent an evening wrapping presents, listening to Christmas music and enjoying each other’s company. When we dropped off the presents, we got to spend some time with the family’s oldest daughter who told us a bit about her family. The entire process was extremely rewarding.”
