The Correspondent Lending, FIS and Consumer Direct Divisions in the southern California region are demonstrating their ongoing commitment to the community in many ways.
In September of 2017, the Guild team “Paws All In” collected food, pet toys and other goods for donation to the San Diego Humane Society. This effort benefitted the Humane Society as they took in shelter animals affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
The holiday season did not slow their efforts down! Over 160 pounds of food were collected by these teams for donation to the San Diego Food Bank for the 2017 Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season. This has become an ongoing effort in their office.
In addition, through the HomeStart Program, the divisions sponsored a local San Diego family of five in need for the holidays. With donations of money, gift cards, and gift items, they were able to make this family’s holiday wishes come true.
In the coming year, team members plan to volunteer at “A Night to Remember,” a free springtime prom ceremony for special needs students ages 15-22 organized by The Arc of San Diego, supporting and empowering persons with disabilities to achieve their life goals.
This terrific group intends to continue their giving with ongoing food bank efforts and plans to again sponsor a HomeStart family this year.
